Lisa West is a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Karate

Sempai Lisa West is a well respected martial artist and karate coach who teaches from the Bendigo Mixed Martial Arts Academy. Sempai Lisa began her training as a teenager to help her get into shape and improve overall well being, Lisa not only bounced into shape but took on all the challenges that Karate set before her. Firstly Lisa gained her black belt in 2016, and in the same year won the Kyokushin Karate Championships for her division in Melbourne. The following year coming runner up in the Shinkyokushin Championships in Ballarat.

Not only is Lisa West a well rounded karate Champion, Sempai Lisa is highly respected as a teacher, coach and mentor to others. Lisa is highly focussed and is a dedicated coach who leads by example. Never afraid of hard work in the dojo, Lisa also leads classes with the same vigor and traditional ethics that make her teaching style equal to anyone in the industry.

As a 2nd Dan Sempai Lisa West says that she has learned the profound benefits that karate training can bring and intends to share these benefits with as many people as she can.
