Non-organic ceramic film – XR05
XR05 is the darkest option in the XR ceramic range, designed for maximum heat reduction and high privacy. It is commonly used in cars, homes, offices, and commercial buildings where strong solar control is required.
With an 8% visible light transmission (VLT), XR05 allows only a small amount of light to pass through the glass. This creates a noticeably cooler and shaded interior while providing excellent glare reduction and privacy. It is ideal for vehicle rear and side windows, private residential areas, and commercial spaces exposed to strong sunlight.
Across the XR range, XR05 delivers ~94–95% infrared heat rejection, targeting infrared rays that cause most solar heat. This significantly reduces heat build-up and improves comfort throughout the day. 99.9% UV rejection also helps protect occupants and interior surfaces from fading and sun damage.
XR05 offers a high 70% total solar energy rejection (TSER) with a low solar heat gain coefficient of 0.30, limiting heat transfer through glass. Low internal and external reflectance maintains a clean, non-reflective appearance from both inside and outside.
