XR18 is a dark ceramic window film designed for high heat reduction and strong privacy. It is well suited for cars, homes, offices, and commercial buildings exposed to intense sunlight.
With an 18% visible light transmission (VLT), XR18 allows a smaller amount of light to pass through the glass. This creates a cooler, more shaded interior while significantly reducing glare and outside visibility. It is commonly used on vehicle side and rear windows, private residential spaces, and commercial buildings that require added privacy.
Across the XR range, XR18 delivers ~94–95% infrared heat rejection, focusing on infrared rays that cause most solar heat. This helps lower interior temperatures and improves overall comfort without relying on reflective finishes. 99.9% UV rejection also protects occupants and interior furnishings from sun damage.
XR18 achieves a strong 68% total solar energy rejection (TSER) with a low solar heat gain coefficient of 0.32, limiting heat transfer through glass. Low internal and external reflectance keeps the appearance clean and balanced, without a mirror-like look.
