Mark Davies is a mixed martial arts coach Mark Davies has been cross training in martial arts since 1986. His experience extends into Karate, Boxing, Kick Boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Arnis and MMA. Marks experience includes state and national titles in Karate, boxing, and kickboxing. In 2000 he opened his mixed martial arts facility in Grafton NSW, and soon after opened his second location in Maclean NSW. Mark believes in the many benefits that a martial arts training can bring individuals both young and old. He is committed to providing first class training to his community and contribute to the development, both physical and mental to his students and the local community. Ram Maharjan is a 4th Dan Black Belt in Karate. Shihandai Ram is the Nepal Branch Chief of the Teshinkai Karate Organisation Asia. Shihandai Ram is resonsible for training many champions in the region and was selected by the Teshinkai organisation as based on his community values, expertise in the art and understanding of the benefits that budo Karate brings to individuals and communities. Shihandai Ram has worked diligently over many years to bring to the people of Nepal quality martial arts for the benefit of his community. It takes many years of diligent and hard training to reach the point where you can call yourself 4th Dan. Shihandai Ram has shown he has what it takes physically and spiritually, but its the moral qualities of Shihandai Ram that sets him apart from others. Darryl Turner is a 5th Dan in Wu Shu Ryu system of Karate. Hanshi Darryl's experience in martial arts began in 1971 where his journey saw him gain experience in Karate, Boxing, Judo, and Wing Chun Kung Fu under Grandmaster William Cheung. Darryl currently teaches the style left to him by the late Master Dean Watt, a highly respected Zendokai instructor who modeled Darryl to become a significant and powerful force in his local martial arts community. Hanshi Darryl is known for his strength as a martial artist and strength in terms of morals and ethics. Many martial artists are thankful for the solid grounding provided by Hanshi Darryl and have gone on to establish their own successes in life, in martial arts and beyond. One such student worth mentioning is his own son Cadman who has gone on to become a star of WWE Championship Wrestling. Hanshi Darryl has never lost his desire to learn and when most are happy to rest on their laurels, Darryl has chosen to begin his training in Brazilian jiu Jitsu under the guidance of the Team Norton BJJ Academy.
Sharon Anyos is a highly credentialled Australian Boxer. Sharon is the only female boxer to be inducted into the Australian National Boxing Federation Hall of Fame which was awarded in 2022. Sharon will also be inducted in the International women’s boxing Hall of Fame and has been recognised as among the greatest fighters when she received a WBC Emeritus award. Among others to receive the award are some of the greats, including Kosta Tszyu, Lennox Lewis, Floyd Mayweather, Vitali Klitchco and Laila Ali. Sharon, a pioneer in the incredibly tough sport of boxing, smashed down barriers and opened up doors for women’s boxing being the first Australian woman to win a world boxing title, taking out three titles in 2000. She then beat Argentinian Marcela Acuna in her home city of the Gold Coast in 2005 for the inaugural WBC Featherweight title. Sharon rates the fight the toughest of her career and during it she suffered a broken cheekbone from a head butt and a broken finger underpinning her toughness and skills. In total she won 14 of her 17 fights, five of those world titles, four by knockout. Sharon is a huge advocate of the benefits of boxing and martial arts. As a child she began her fight training with renown martial artist and coach Les Anyos, and is a current rank holder of 6th degree black belt in Shinbukai Karate. Training in martial arts Sharon understands opens the door to many opportunities in life and believes that women can benefit in ways that can assist them for a lifetime. The benefits of martial arts training are well documented, from health, fun, social connection and friendships to self defence and more resilient to day to day challenges are outcomes that Sharon is keen to pass on to others through her boxing and martial arts training.
Sensei Dion is the founder and chief instructor of Jindokai Shotokan Karate. Dion began his Shotokan Karate journey in 1981, training at a JKA Dojo in Whyalla, South Australia. Throughout the 1980’s, Sensei Dion participated in many tournaments, winning numerous State and National Junior events. In 1988, Sensei Dion represented Australia at the JKA World Cup - achieving 2nd place, in the Junior Team Kata event. After moving to Adelaide for work in 1989, Sensei Dion opened the ‘Adelaide Metro Dojo’, in the southern suburbs of Adelaide - this Dojo grew to become one of the strongest martial arts clubs in South Australia, with its members winning many State & National Championships. Several members of the Adelaide Metro Dojo also became National Team Members: three of which also gaining medals at the JKA World Cup level. In 2007 Sensei Dion relocated to the northern suburbs of Adelaide and begun teaching karate in Salisbury. This was the beginning of the formation of Jindokai Karate-Do. Since that time, Jindokai Karate-Do has continued to develop and grow; now with more than 160 members, and training at two of Adelaide's northern suburbs best locations – The Denison Centre, in Mawson Lakes, and St Columba College, in Andrews Farm. Throughout this journey, Sensei Dion has trained with many famous Karate Masters, enjoying long-lasting friendships with most of them. Jordan Micokovski is a 5th Degree Black Belt. Sensei Jordan Micakovski was born in Capari (pronounced as sapari) in the Republic of Macedonia on the 22 of November 1952. He arrived in Australia in 1970 at the age of 17. Who has trained in many forms of martial arts such as Roman wrestling, Karate, Teak won do, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Goju ryu karate, and Kosho ryu Kempo. Since arriving in Australia he has trained with one the founding fathers of Karate in Australia Mr Merv Oakley Sensei Jordan trained with Mr Oakley for more than 5 years. And than went on to train in other Art forms. Sensei Jordan has a black belt in Taekwon do and a 4th degree in Kempo Karate. Jordan is highly regarded by his students and the community that he serves and is also highly respected by the martial arts industry for his unwaivering and loyal service to students. Sensei Jordan owns and operates his martial arts school, United Kempo in Hoxton in Sydney. Together with his sons he has build a strong following of dedicated students who have many stories of Sensei Jordans outstanding work. Jordan has produced over 50 State champions and over 30 world champions. To this day Sensei Jordan continues to train and produce some of the best fighters in Australia. With his recent success in the 2002 WOMAA world cup were he single headedly took 15 students from united Kempo martial arts academy over to Hawaii. And brought back over 55 medals and one grand championship and made a new record in Australian martial arts with the highest medal tally on an athlete to medal ratio. Even more recent he has won a high honour of local Australian of the year from Liverpool council on Australia day 2004 for his contributions to the local community and martial arts. Sensei Jordan has been training for over 30 years and plains on training for 30 more. Sensei Jordan has devoted his life to martial arts training as he continues to teach for the love of the sport/art and to share his knowledge to all those who seek it.
